For our October campout, we attended the Seneca District Camporee held at the Walkersville Watershed. This included patrol competitions and stations. Some of our favorite stations were Mining for Gold and Human Foosball. In addition, they had tomahawk throwing, Branding, Agility Trail, Snow Blind, Knots and Lashings, Civil War Medicine, and more! We had scouts that dressed up as Mountain Men and even a Mountain Dew Man! The scouts were a little disappointed that they didn’t get to perform their skits. The district sent everyone home Saturday night due to weather concerns. We had two AoL visitors with us, and both patrols performed very well at each station. Our Scoutmaster placed second in the Scoutmaster Cook-off with Mountain Monkey Bread. Our Buff Geeze patrol scored best overall and took home the trophy!
