This weekend was our virtual campout. We started with a check-in dinner over Zoom. Let it be known that the Scoutmaster was *not* making Peanut Butter and Jelly in his Dutch Oven. (Really he was making Vegetarian Chili, but sometimes the audio quality in a virtual meeting makes it difficult to understand people. Haha.)
Everyone slept in their own tents or backyards, and then we met Saturday morning for a 3-mile hike on the Seneca Greenway Trail. It was a little muddy because of all the rain we had had the day before, but we had fun being together!
Saturday night, we all made dinner, and we coincidentally had four people who had the same dinner. We had a short “campfire” complete with the SPL’s actual fire. We mostly just chatted and told crazy stories before retiring for the night – again, in our own tents or backyards.
